I thought I would just take this opportunity to share with you some relevant excerpts from the end of contract report prepared by
the Philippines Post Gender Equality Advisor (Jeanne Illo). I am sharing this excellent report for your information as it
provides a great example of the type of tasks that can be effectively undertaken by a contracted Post Gender Equality Advisor.
I thought this would be timely given that the China Post has recently contacted a new gender equality advisor and that the type
of tasks undertaken by Jeanne are also reflective of the TORs that were developed for your recent recruitment process. I would
also like to suggest that the report could also provide a useful briefing tool for your new gender equality advisor, as I
think the report helps to demonstrate more concretely how the tasks outlined in gender equality advisor TORs can be translated
into action within a given Country Programme context.
